Senator Chris Dodd plans to put a hold on the Senate FISA renewal bill because it reportedly grants retroactive immunity to telephone companies for any role they played in the Bush administration's warrantless eavesdropping program, Election Central has learned.
Well, obviously this is a little out dated, since it's all over the blogsphere that he did follow through with that plan. And to be honest, I really have nothing more to add, other than it's nice to see a Democratic politician show back bone. I suspect he's getting ready an all or nothing effort in running for president.

This is the stuff I expected from Kerry, back on the 20004 election. Don't get me wrong. I happen to think Kerry would have made a hell of a better President then Bush. It's just that he never put himself out there. He never took any chances. He played it safe. And now he's still a Senator.

So, congratulations to Dodd for putting himself out there, for taking a risk, and doing what he thinks is right, not what's politically safe.

That's just my $0.00 on the subject.

Oh, and here's the memeorandum link.
