Virgin Galactic Unveils Spaceship

British billionaire Richard Branson and the aerospace designer Burt Rutan unveiled a model Wednesday of SpaceShipTwo, the vehicle they hope will be able to take passengers on suborbital joy rides, sheerly for the fun of it, with test flights beginning as soon as this year.

And a joyride is exactly what it will be, in all the negative meanings. If you're dreaming of catching a ride, you'd better pile up some "long bread" first. So far space has been the playground only of the VERY well off, plus a few very lucky people, i.e. the astronauts. Remember swinging the golf clubs on the Moon? And I think things will stay that way for a long time to come.
