WASHINGTON — Troop levels in Iraq would remain nearly the same through 2008 as they have been through most of the five years of war there, under plans presented to President Bush on Monday by the senior American commander and the top American diplomat in Iraq, senior administration and military officials said.
<sarcasm>Imagine that. The promised troop reduction pre surge has been abandoned. A raise of hands of all those who are shocked, Shocked! I tell you, at this unforeseen turn of events.</sarcasm>

The one thing (thanks to the media's lack of coverage of McCain) that people just don't seem to get is that McCain will continue the Bush regime just the way it is. No change for the economy. No change to health care, continuing the Iraq policy for the next "100 years." I am AMAZED that people think anything is going to change under John McCain. I mean he can't even tell the difference between Sunni and Shia! He's downright scary!! Comeon media--start the same kind of smear tactics on McCain you have employed against Barack Obama! Or do you have the nerve?
