Blogger's Chess: Jim's 24th Move

Darn! I like DBK's suggestion instead. However, Jim has chosen to move his Queen to f3.

Now, I was hoping he'd finally take my Bishop. But, instead, he's moved His Queen into position, rendering my Queen's protection of my Bishop ineffectual. Also, he maintains the momentum, remains on the offensive, and has serious developmental opportunities. I, on the other hand, am looking at a deteriorating pawn defense for my King.

I hate when that happens.

By the way, I haven't played an actual game of chess in fifteen years.

Note to self: when it comes to chess, do not consult DBK.

I love ya, D, but goodness gracious, I'm trying to win this here game. You need to practice more, you're on the rusty side...

I gave that move maybe fifteen seconds of consideration. Get a grip. I told you why RSB's move was bad, and I was right.
