Blogger's Chess: My 26th Move

Okay, I've decided the only route to go is to continue with the pressure. I managed to eek out an offensive move and I guess I should maintain that small advantage as long as possible: Pawn to b4.

Let us see what Jim does now. Will he ignore my pawn and attempt an offensive move of his own, or will he work on his defense?

There are no situations in chess more gripping than this, watching the two sides charging down on opposite sides of the board, both trying their absolute best to get there first with the most. And with you two guys consistently doing something other than the moves I would make in your particular situations, I have absolutely no idea of how this is going to go. Great game!

Well, thank you, Carl. I can only speak for myself when I say that I aim to please. But in this case, I think Rook would concur. This match is turning crazy. ;-)

As for Rook advancing his pawn like that with his sights on my King... I think he and I ought to team up one day to do a karaoke version of The Who's "Magic Bus":

Rook: "I want it, I want it, I want it, Iwantit Iwantit Iwantit --"

Me: "Ya caaaaaan't have it!"

Pawn h-4 to h-5. And guess what, ya can't have that either. My Queen says so...
