Well, I suppose I should mention that I have my computer back up and running. Now that I have a new power supply, I realize the old one was bad from day one. It made a horrible noise right after setting it up back 4 or 5 years ago. This new power supply is so damn quite, I sometimes wonder if the fan is working at all. It is, it is just so spooky after having a noisy power supply.
