CNN
ANCHORAGE, Alaska (CNN) -- Republican vice presidential nominee Sarah Palin abused her power as Alaska's governor in the firing of her public safety commissioner, but violated no laws, a report for the state Legislature concluded Friday.
Just because it needs to be said: The wingnuts are going to skip right over the claim of abuse of power, point to the no law violated judgment, and proclaim, therefor, no abuse of power.
10 to 1 odds.
10 to 1 odds.

I'll take that bet. What a pile of steaming hypocrisy. The MSM and the Left didn't seem to mind when B. Clinton fired EVERY single federal prosecutor just because he could, but when Gov. Palin fires one clown who wouldn't fire a psycho state trooper they get the panties in a twist.
Now pay up...
Sarah may have given Mr. Monegan a cause of action for damages for wrongful termination. It is enough to make out a case for Monegan if the refusal to terminate the trooper was a "substantial" or "motivating factor" in her descision to terminate him. Methlin v. Bartholomew (Alaska 1998) 971 P.2d 151 at page 154. And there are lots of similar cases.
CNN has since updated their article, now acknowledging that Palin did violate the law:
LMAO!!! I think Palin should blame this on Russia, hell she says Russia is so close you can see it from her back yard. Sarah should be fired just like evry other power hungry Republican that abuses their power. What vice presidential nominee is dumber than a brick? "That one!" LOL!! This really cracks me up, more power to us Democrats!!!!
Instead of playing the fool by buying into the anti-Palin hate filled lies and raving of the AP and the MSM in general, read the conclusion of the report itself:
"Governor Palin’s firing of Commissioner Monegan was a proper and lawful exercise of her constitutional and statutory authority to hire and fire executive branch department heads."
Do any of the resident Palin-haters have any concept of the meanings of the terms 'lawful' and 'proper', or is plain English something that they cannot interpret rationally?
Ha!
Didn’t work did it!
On the other hand it looks like Obama might need to start a legal defense fund!
It would appear that it is the FBI that is investigating the voter fraud by ACORN and with all of the other usually biased news networks telling the Obama story about of the $800,000 that he paid ACORN, it doesn’t look good for Obama.
Looks like this IS the October surprise.
So……..Obama fans, keep donating to the Obama defense fund.
He’ll need it.
Oh, and then there’s the ethics committees looking into all of the Senators and Congressmen that accepted monies from the failed mortgage giants.
All of this on top of shady associations (read as radicals and terrorists) and friends.
Hmmmmmmmm…………
I bet the Democrats wish they would have stuck with Hillary!
If Biden had the wisdom and good sense that he claims that he has he will wake up and distance himself from Obama and escape the attention that is coming his way.
NOBAMA 08!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I hope Governor Palin's neighbors don't mind her ethical lapses. Of course, we have no clue who paints her sky. Maybe her neighbors don't care..especially given that she thinks the children in Afghanistan are our neighbors... Did anyone else hear that comment in her speech on October 5th in San Francisco? Hysterical.
Once again CNN fails to tell all.
It also found that her firing of a state commissioner was "proper and lawful."
You won't be so smug when the Republicans start being voted out of office. It's typical you idiots would key in on the part that you like and not the information as a whole. It said she abused her power (no mention of that from moronic right) and amended to say she DID break an ethics law. This was a bipartisan investigation that started before anyone knew she was running. Do you honestly believe the garbage that comes out of your mouths? It's so obvious they were pandering to the Hillary crowd and it backfired. Women are not stupid and they see through the ploy. The nastier they get the worse the polls are for them. Oh yeah, and I'm a Republican. That's how bad this is.
darwin with your crude verbal jousts I'm glad you've changed sides. No need to stoop to the level you claim the rep nominees have if you have an effective point to make. The Rook's first line taken from CNN is false. The "abuse of power" was in the access allowed her husband, not in the firing of the commish. If the investigation conclusion was so convincing why is the actual finding being misrepresented by the mainstream media in the title of their articles or in the opening line.
