Okay, this one needs commenting. Basically, I was an ignorant wretch who thought he could handle a long, leisurely trek up the Minnesota side of the St. Croix River to Hudson, and then back down to Prescott. I was a complete moron. Oh, I felt fine when I got to Hudson, but the combined hills from the river up to County Road F and the Henley Road hill under the water tower kicked my overweight and out of shape ass. Basically, after those two hills, my thighs were so sore and weak I had to walk up just about every incline. Since then I have been slowly getting back into biking. Hence the 7 day break until.....

Now, today's leg surprised me. I really did not expect to see such a jump in my average speed. It is a nice surprise though. And I can honestly say I did not have to push myself that hard. In fact, I thought I was taking it easy. So, that is nice.
