It use to be "I was for it before I was against it." Now it is "I was for it, but now that Obama is for it, I am against it."

You just can not win against these losers. Not when they are playing Calvinball.

Keith Has Video!

Granted, not as slick and polished as his days on MSNBC, but he is basically marking time until he can start with Current TV. However, whoever is helping him design the video format, they made it blog friendly. It actually fits in the main post area, I did not have to make any adjustments to the code. Even Comedy Central has had difficulty in understanding the standard width of most blog posts, requiring me to go in and manual adjust the width and height in the code. Anyway, here is Keith's WPotD.

Do you really think the French, during our revolution, cared one iota about saving the colonists, or democracy. Hell no. They were all about economic benefit. Anything to stick it to the English. However, in the process the United States of American came into existence.

Oh, and yes, the people of Libya would be ignored if there was no oil. However, I can not help but wonder if the violence would even be happening in the Middle East if there was no oil.

Now, that being said; Mustang Bobby is right:

All war is just a bad, bad idea. It means that there are no ideas left, and that just isn't acceptable.

Not A Good Move

Whether they are willing to admit it or not, the Republican Party of Wisconsin just signed it's own political death warrant.

Madison, Wisconsin (CNN) -- Wisconsin's Republican-led state Senate passed Gov. Scott Walker's proposed restrictions on collective bargaining for public employees Wednesday, getting around a Democratic walkout by stripping financial provisions from the bill.

"Tonight, the Senate will be passing the items in the Budget Repair Bill that we can with the 19 members who actually do show up and do their jobs," Sen. Scott Fitzgerald, the chamber's Republican majority leader, said in a statement announcing the move.

The recalls are just going to be the beginning. The next election cycle is going to leave Wisconsin in the hands of the Democrats for years to come.

What Michael Said

People, this is just part of the shift......

Seriously, the pendulum of history is now starting its swing towards the progressive side of the spectrum. Granted, it has to go backwards through the conservative side first, but it will get to the other side. Be patient.

Bump In The Road

The current Republican majority in the house is but a bump in the road to a more progressive era. We have been through a conservative majority before. It occurred for the first 6 years of George W. Bush's presidency. We survived it. We will survive the current obscenity that is the House of Representatives. Be patient. This too will pass.

Politics is the control of wealth and power. You are being conditioned to condemn politics as petty and boring, thus granting all the more control to the powers that be. You are either a part of the problem or a part of the solution. The choice is yours.
